Legal
Your Privacy Choices
Drafted 20 September 2026 · applies to yourmhs.com
Several states give you specific, enforceable rights over your personal information. You are welcome to all of them here regardless of which state you live in — sorting people by jurisdiction before deciding whether to be decent seems like the wrong approach.
The short version
I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. I do not use it for profiling. There is consequently no “do not sell” mechanism to operate, because there is nothing to opt out of.
What I do with your information is: answer you, compare plans for you, enroll you if you ask me to, and stay reachable afterwards. That is the whole of it, and it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
What you can ask for
- To know. What I hold about you, where it came from, and who it has been disclosed to.
- A copy. In a portable format.
- Correction. If something is wrong.
- Deletion. Subject only to records that insurance regulations require me to retain — and if that applies I will tell you exactly which rule and for how long, rather than citing “legal requirements” vaguely.
- To stop hearing from me. Immediately, no explanation needed.
- Not to be treated differently for exercising any of these.
How to make a request
Email andres@yourmhs.com with what you want. Put “Privacy request” in the subject if you like, but any wording works — I read them myself.
I will need to be reasonably sure you are who you say you are before handing over personal information, which usually means replying from the address you originally contacted me from. If someone is making a request on your behalf, I will need something showing they are authorized.
How long I take
I aim to respond within 10 business days and to complete the request within 45 days. If something genuinely needs longer, I will tell you before the 45 days are up, with a reason.
Global Privacy Control
This site honours the Global Privacy Control signal. In practice there is nothing for it to switch off, because the site runs no advertising trackers and no non-essential cookies — but the signal is respected rather than ignored, and if tracking is ever added it will be respected then too.
State-specific notes
Note also that information collected in connection with an actual insurance application may fall under insurance-specific privacy law — including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance information privacy statutes — rather than under general consumer privacy statutes. Those regimes interact, and the interaction needs a lawyer rather than a paragraph.
If you are not satisfied
Come back to me first and say so. Beyond that you may contact your state Attorney General or, for insurance-specific concerns, your state department of insurance.
