Licensing

Thirty states. Here’s whether yours is one of them.

Insurance is licensed state by state, so the first real question is not what you need — it is whether I am allowed to help you at all. Answer it here in about three seconds.

The honest other half

The 21 I’m not licensed in.

Most broker sites leave this out. I would rather you know immediately. If you live in one of these I cannot write your coverage today — but licensing changes, and if I can point you toward someone reputable there, I will.

What a license actually means

Licensed is not the same as available.

Holding a producer license in your state means I am authorized by that state’s department of insurance to discuss, recommend and enroll you in coverage there.

It does not mean every carrier on the carrier page is available in your state, and it does not mean every plan is open to you right now — enrollment windows and eligibility rules still apply.
